Purpose:   The functions of the Committee are:

1. To make recommendations in accordance with City policies for appointments to all civic agencies, boards and committees, commissions and corporations;
   
   
2. The overall supervision of such civic agencies, boards, committees, commissions and corporations as Council may direct; and
   
   
3. To consider all matters referred to it by Council, a Standing Committee or the Mayor; and
   
   
4. To consider all matters placed before it under the procedure set out in Subsection 59 (4) of the Council and Committee Procedure Bylaw, 2003 (Bylaw 8198), which says "a councillor or the City Manager may submit a proposed item for the Executive Committee agenda to the City Clerk who shall place that item before the Committee at its next meeting. Where a majority of the Committee agrees, the item will be placed on the agenda for consideration by the Committee."
   
   

Reporting Relationship:   The Executive Committee reports to Council.

Composition:   The Executive Committee consists of all members of Council. The Chair shall be the Mayor.

Term:   One year.

Meetings:   The Committee meets on every second Monday (on weeks between Council meetings) at 1:00 pm.
