On June 26, 1906, the newly-elected Council of the newly-incorporated City of Saskatoon met for the first time. On June 26, 2006, Saskatoon City Council celebrated its first century with a special meeting and reception for members of previous City Councils and their families. As part of this celebration, the City Archives prepared A Seat on Council, a book of biographies of Mayors, Councillors and Aldermen from 1903-2006.
As so often happens with projects of this magnitude, some errors crept in during the researching and writing process. As well, new information has occasionally surfaced that warranted inclusion. We have worked to identify these and make necessary changes.
