Civic elections were held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009.

Civic government is involved in almost all aspects of our daily lives – from providing public transit, drinking water and electricity, collecting garbage, fixing roads, supporting the arts, educating our children, providing recreation opportunities and protecting our City’s citizens.

Voting is a fundamental right of democracy, and you are encouraged to participate in the upcoming civic elections. When you vote, you are selecting representatives who will make the laws and policies that determine how our City functions and how we live together.
