Imagine a neighbourhood that is designed to promote a sense of community. A place where you will want to meet your neighbours, where you feel safe, and where you and your family will not just live, but build a home and a history.
Willowgrove is this neighbourhood. Located in the northeast of Saskatoon, it offers a variety of diverse housing styles to meet the needs of today’s family, lifestyle and personal preferences.
Designed around a village square, Willowgrove has a feeling of being a small town unto itself. It’s a community where everyone feels welcome and where you belong.
Something Old, Something New
The design features of Willowgrove are what give it a distinct look and feel. It was the first area in Saskatoon to blend traditional designs such as narrow, deeper lots and back lanes similar to those found in Nutana, with contemporary designs found in new neighbourhoods such as Arbor Creek.
The Heart of the Matter
The Village Square is the heart of the community, providing Willowgrove residents a central location with a relaxing ambience where they can meet informally or hold community events. Reminiscent of a small-town, the Village Square will be surrounded by street-front coffee shops, boutiques and other retail and community services.
An attractively landscaped grand boulevard leads to the Village Square with separate sidewalks and curbs on each side allowing everyone to take a safe stroll or relaxing bike ride.
Willowgrove also offers a uniquely designed linear park to accommodate homes with walk-out basements. It’s a perfect location for those who want a beautiful path that connects them to the Community Centre and the Village Square.
Common Ground
Plans for a community centre, across from the Village Square, will ensure residents have a central place for public meetings and activity space for community programs. The centre will integrate other services offered by public, nonprofit and private sectors to ensure the needs of everyone are met over time.
