What arrangements are required if the event is to include:

Events requiring road closures, signage, etc, need to contact the City of Saskatoon’s Infrastructure Services branch at 975-2454.
- Food concession?
You must apply directly to the Saskatoon District Health Safe Communities Department for a Temporary Food Services License. Applications for this license are available at their office located at 101 - 310 Idylwyd Dr. N, or the City of Saskatoon Allocations Office located at the Lawson Civic Centre (225 Primrose Drive).

Once you have received this document you would present it to the Saskatchewan Liquor Board, at any Liquor Board Store.
What does our event need to know about having amplified music at our event?
The Noise Guidelines for Park Special Events requires the following:
- Event organizers are responsible for the monitoring and control of noise resulting from the presence of their event taking place in a public park. Event organizers must designate an individual who is available by phone on a 24 hour basis and who has the authority to respond appropriately to complaints regarding the event.
- Prior to the confirmation of their event booking, event organizers shall contact the Community Association and residents adjacent to the park where the event is to be held indicating dates, times, and location of the event.
Further information can be found in Bylaw 8244.
Are there special safety regulations that apply to special events?
As with any event, safety of participants should be paramount to an organizer. The City of Saskatoon has a number of guidelines outlined in the Recreational Facilities & Park Usage Bylaw 7677 that help to ensure safety.
Hot Air Balloons in parks.
Hot Air Balloons are allowed in a select number of parks for launches and tethering. Applications can be obtained from Leisure Services at City Hall or the Allocations Department at Lawson Civic Centre.
Renting amenities for your event?
If you are in need of port-a-potties, BBQs, tables, chairs, and other similar items, you should arrange rental through one of the special event rental companies in Saskatoon.
Are portable bleachers available for my event?
Yes, but only if you are a non-profit organization. The City of Saskatoon may have, depending upon availability, the following portable bleachers for use during your event: 2 portable sets that seat 35 each, 4 knockdown sets that seat 28 each, and 1 set on wheels that seats 48. Although there is no charge for the use of the bleachers, your organization is responsible for picking them up and returning them. Once your event booking is confirmed by Allocations, you will receive a contract that will include the contact person from Infrastructure Services through whom arrangements to use the portable bleachers can be made. Remember, these are available on a first come first served basis so ensure these arrangements are made well in advance of your event.
