The Process
The first step toward becoming a Contract Group Fitness Instructor is simply a matter of getting certified. The City of Saskatoon and neighbourhood Community Associations recognize certifications from the following bodies:
If you're not certified, don't worry!
Simply contact the City of Saskatoon to enroll in one of the fitness certification programs. Complete the following modules:
- Basic Theory,
- Group Fitness and/or Aqua Fitness and/or Older Adult, and
- Have a current Standard First Aid and CPR-BLS B Level
Once completed, you're ready to apply to be a Contract Group Fitness Instructor. Just bring in a copy of your fitness certifications and a mentoring application form (forms can be downloaded above). You will then be matched up with one of our fitness pros for mentoring* - that's it! Health, vitality and an invigorating job are closer than you think!
