Lakewood Civic Centre houses a spacious tropical pool and waterslide, fitness facilities, meeting and recreational space, and Cliff Wright Branch Library all under one big roof.

Facility Features

Leisure Pool: big, warm water pool designed for family fun and fitness; starts at 0 depth, like a beach and reaches a depth of 6 feet (2 metres).

Water Features: shallow splash pools, spray features, bubbler machine, rapids area, water bench, 25 metre swimming lanes, whirlpool and 150 foot long waterslide!

Pool Programs: aquafitness, lane swims, Red Cross swim lessons for toddlers, preschoolers, children, teens, and adults. Book a private birthday party!

Poolside Deck: lounge chairs, tables and concession; viewing area with chairs and tables in lobby.

Outdoor Deck: open through summer months, grass lawn and picnic area, on-deck shower and basketball hoop; can bring gas barbeque to use.

Cardio Fitness & Weight Rooms: weight training and exercise machines; poolside sauna.

Gymnasium: fitness classes and activities, public open gym times, various sports equipment.

Multipurpose Room: great for fitness activities, as a dance studio, and for larger meetings and seminars.

Preschool Room: for birthday parties and get-togethers with childsize tables, chairs and play equipment.

Indoor Playground: for children 7 & under (must be supervised), drop-in times available.
