Landscape development is required for all properties in Saskatoon. The City's Zoning Bylaw No. 8770 identifies the landscaping goals and requirements for each zoning district. The Planning and Development Branch has also developed a Landscape Guidelines booklet. This valuable resource contains the technical information required to meet the objectives and requirements of the Zoning Bylaw, and also provides options and ideas for your landscape development.
Some items included in the Landscape Guidelines booklet include:
- A list of tree varieties suitable for our climate;
- Salt tolerable guidelines;
- Screening guidelines;
- Landscape design ideas; and
- How to prepare a landscaping plan.
