The City of Saskatoon boundary was expanded August 1, 2010, to include land that was within the Rural Municipality (RM) of Corman Park. The boundary alteration process is also referred to as ‘annexation’.
The boundary alteration will provide for the City of Saskatoon to grow to the north, east and northeast, which is consistent with the Future Growth of Saskatoon Study adopted by City Council in 2000. These areas will provide for new neighbourhoods and employment areas, and the amenities to support them.
