2010 Workshop Presentation

Ever wonder what community planning is? Do you know how community planning is governed in Saskatchewan? Do you have questions about the City's Official Community Plan and Zoning Bylaw? Are you curious about how land in your neighbourhood gets rezoned? Do you want to know how you can participate in City Council's decisions?

You can learn the answers to these questions and more by participating in the Planning Education Program!

REGISTER NOW FOR THE 2012 PLANNING EDUCATION PROGRAM WORKSHOP

The Community Services Department is pleased to offer the following workshop as part of the Planning Education Program for community association volunteers and members of the public who are interested in developing skills and knowledge in city planning and development.

This is a free workshop, and each participant will receive A Guide to City Planning & Development in Saskatoon.

Saturday, February 4, 2012
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (lunch provided)
Committee Room 'E' - City Hall, 222 Third Avenue North

Learn about planning in Saskatoon and about the tools used to regulate development in the city.  Learn about the role of the City and the community in the planning process and how to review and comment on planning proposals, including Zoning Bylaw and Official Community Plan amendments and Discretionary Use Applications.

The workshop will also provide information about the public hearing procedure and how to interact with and make effective presentations to City Council.
