Inventory Management provides material management services to all other departments of the City of Saskatoon. Our mandate includes inventory management, storage and sale of surplus goods.

In serving the City of Saskatoon, Inventory Management has the responsibility of acting in the public's best interest.

Inventory Management Functions

Inventory Management is involved in a number of functions. It operates the Central Stores area of the department which is a centralized stores area for common items used by a number of departments and for items that need more space for inventory and the pickup and delivery of these items. The specialized skills and equipment for loading and unloading of materials are used outside the department as well.

Another area of responsibility is in the storage of material that will be required later but cannot be disposed of.
