Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services hosts exciting public events during the year. Badge, Shield and Star Awards Dinner is put on by SFPS, Saskatoon Police Services, MD Ambulance and the Saskatoon Rotary Club each spring to promote the work of fire, police and paramedics. 

 During the summer, SFPS has extrication demonstrations at the Saskatoon Exhibition.

Fire Prevention Week

Fire Prevention Week is held during October each year. This week provides an opportunity for the public to get to know firefighters in their community and find out about the programs being offered. Traditionally between 1 and 2 thousand people visit the fire station open houses that are scheduled throughout the week. Details on the time and location of Fire Prevention Week 2012 will be posted early this fall.
