Robert Clark, originally from Battersea, Ontario, died on August 28, 1909. The obituary from the Saskatoon Daily Phoenix reads:
"Robert Clark Leaves Orphan Family" - Robert Clark of Saskatoon passed away on Saturday at noon. The deceased was 40 years of age and had been a drayman in the city for the last few years. Mrs. Clark died only one year ago, which now leaves their four girls and one boy orphans. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the undertaking rooms of the Saskatoon Furniture Co."
The monument is a blue marble headstone which has an inscription which reads "Asleep in Jesus, Blessed sleep, From which one never Wakes to weep." This monument also marks the grave of his wife, Laura Augusta Clark (Weagant) whose name is also on the monument.
The text on the east face of the monument reads:

HIS BELOVED WIFE
LAURA A. WEAGANT
DIED
JAN. 27, 1908
AGED 34 YEARS
The base is carved CLARK. The south and west sides have decorative carving.
