The Water Distribution System is comprised of the piping, valves and hydrants between your residence or business and the Water Treatment Plant.
The Water & Sewer Section is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, rehabilitation and inspection of the complex water distribution system that distributes water to the residents of Saskatoon. The water distribution system is comprised of piping, valves and hydrants.
The section also provides the first response for water service interruptions which includes responding to water main repairs, valve repairs/replacements and hydrant repairs/replacements.
 There are also programs the Section provides which includes the operation and inspection of fire hydrants and water main valves and water main flushing to maintain water quality.
