The City of Saskatoon provides a $10 rebate* to Saskatoon residents for the retail purchase of a compost bin.  The rebate is applicable to bins purchased in 2011.  Receipt and a proof of Saskatoon residency (such as a copy of a utility bill or driver's license) must be attached.  For additional information on the rebate program call the Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council at 931-3242.

Rain barrels* can also be purchased at a price of $50.00 from the City of Saskatoon. Cash or cheque only will be accepted at Inventory Disposal Yard - 202 Portage Avenue. Call 975-2487 if you have questions.

*Residents who purchase bins and barrels from the City are NOT eligible for the $10 rebate program.
