The City of Saskatoon thanks residents who participate in the various ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Note: these opportunities exist when uploaded to our website, but are subject to change at any time without notice. If you wish for your organization to be included on upcoming versions of this brochure, or to be listed on our website, please call 975-2486.
The following materials ARE NOT ALLOWED in and around garbage containers, and will not be collected:
- Liquids of any type;
- Dirt or sod;
- Concrete or rocks;
- Appliances or furniture;
- Commercial/business waste;
- Non-flattened cardboard;
- Unbagged or unbundled waste;
- Rugs or carpet rolls;
- Construction or demolition waste;
- Any material over 60 cm (2 ft.) in length, such as branches, lumber, hockey sticks; material under 60cm must be bundled.
With the exception of liquids, any of the above items can be recycled or disposed of at the Saskatoon Landfill.
