Every year in Canada more than 1,000 contacts are made with energized high voltage power lines and equipment. In addition to these contacts, electrical substations are routinely broken into. A contact or break-in may require a response from police, fire or EMS workers. Each contact or electrical substation break-in has the potential to place first responders at risk of serious injury or even death.

This is why Saskatoon Light & Power, along with a number of other electrical utilities, partnered with the Canadian Electricity Association and the RCMP to produce a safety DVD called "Electricity the Invisible Killer". We encourage you to take 20 minutes to watch the video.
