Charter Information 

Notice effective September 28, 2009:
Due to morning peak demands on regular Transit service, charter service is not available prior to 9:00 a.m. weekdays except by special arrangement well in advance.

Saskatoon Transit buses may be booked for private functions when not required for regular public transit service. Customers interested in booking a Saskatoon Transit bus should contact Saskatoon Transit, Charters Office by phone, fax or email as early as possible and at least three business days prior to the date of the function.

Charter bookings are not considered finalized until trip details are confirmed by Saskatoon Transit and agreed to by the customer in writing. The bus will not be dispatched if the booking has not been finalized.

Hours

Saskatoon Transit Charters Office is open Monday to Friday, 8:09 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office may be closed at other times due to vacation, sickness, staff meetings or other committments.

Rate Information

The rates above are per hour. Each one-way trip is charged a minimum of 1 hour. Additional time is billed per minute.

Customers are not charged for the time required for the bus to travel from the garage to the pick-up location. Customers will be charged starting from the agreed pick-up time or the time the bus arrives at the pick-up location, whichever is later. Customers will not be charged for time spent waiting for the bus if the bus is late.

Regular Rate Hours: 

  • Weekdays, 9:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Peak & Weekend Rate Hours:

  • Weekdays: 5:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to midnight 
  • Weekends: 5:30 a.m. to midnight

Late Night & Holiday Rate Hours: 

  • Weekdays: Midnight to 5:30 a.m.
  • Weekends: Midnight to 5:30 a.m.
  • All Day on Holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Saskatchewan Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving Day, Remembrance Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day

Standby time is charged when bus is waiting for the customer after the agreed upon pick-up time.

Late cancellation charges are applied if the trip was dispatched. To ensure sufficient notice is given to dispatchers, please cancel before 9:00 a.m. the day prior to the trip.

Supervisors may be required at the discretion of Saskatoon Transit when a large number of buses are used.

Parking meters can be bagged and reserved to accommodate charter buses. Please inquire for charges associated with this service.

Pub crawls are subject to a $1000.00 damage deposit and customers must arrange for adequate supervision.

Special Notes for Trips Outside City Limits

  • All passengers must be seated when outside city limits
  • Buses may carry a maximum of 45 passengers
  • Distance is measured from city centre

Other Notes

Charter service may not be available at all times of day.

Saskatoon Transit reserves the right to cancel any charter due to emergency conditions.
