The collection system beyond the Wastewater Treatment Plant is maintained by the Public Works Branch, Water and Sewer Section. Any emergency work, operational projects and capital projects on the existing collection system is managed by this section. Design and construction of new additions to the collection system and new lift station construction projects are managed by the Municipal Engineering Branch. Upgrades and or modifications to the existing lift stations are carried out by the Wastewater Treatment Division. Wastewater Treatment Plant staff operate and maintain the lift stations. The entire “sewage system” including the collection system is permitted and regulated by Saskatchewan Environment.
