ADVANCE VOTING FOR CIVIC ELECTIONS START OCTOBER 17

Eligible voters who are unable to vote on Election Day, Wednesday, October 28, may vote at one of the following Advance Polls:

Committee Room E, City Hall (on the ground floor of the south wing of City Hall, 222 – 3rd Avenue North and is wheelchair accessible):

  • Monday, October 19 - Friday October 23, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

University of Saskatchewan (Place Riel):

  • Monday, October 19 – Friday October 23, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Midtown Plaza, The Mall at Lawson Heights, Confederation Mall, Market Mall, The Centre:

  • Saturday, October 17               11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, October 21          1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Thursday, October 22              1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
  • Friday, October 23                   1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, October 24               11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Citizens are reminded that they can vote only once during the election, and that in order to be eligible to vote, they need to be as of Election Day:

  • a Canadian citizen;
  • eighteen years of age;
  • have resided in Saskatoon for at least three months;
  • have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six months; and
  • to vote for a Catholic School Board Trustee, need to be Catholic.

The City of Saskatoon is offering a free bus ride to Polling Stations with Saskatoon Transit on Election Day, as well as to the Advance Polls. Free Ride coupons are located on the back of the Voters’ Guide and online at www.saskatoon.ca. A return ride coupon will be provided at the polling station.

Information on the Saskatoon Civic Elections is available in the Voters’ Guide which was delivered with the Saskatoon Sun newspaper on Sunday, October 11. Copies of the Voters’ Guide are also at public libraries, Leisure Centres and City Hall.

The Saskatoon Civic Elections are on Wednesday, October 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eligible voters will select a Mayor, City Council members and Trustees for the Public and Catholic School Boards.  For more information, please visit www.saskatoon.ca and look under “E” for Elections, or call 975-3240.
