US10-076

The City of Saskatoon’s next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 20. Residents can drop off their items between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at the new Envirotec location at 100 Cory Road (between Highways 11 and 12, one kilometre north of Auto Clearing Speedway).

The Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day program makes the disposal of hazardous household chemicals and materials more convenient for residents and safe for the environment.

Residents can drop off their materials at Envirotec only on designated Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days. The program will accept household, automotive, lawn and garden chemicals, as well as batteries, pharmaceuticals and adhesives. Household chemicals must be kept in their original containers for identification purposes. A full list of accepted materials can be found at www.saskatoon.ca, search under “H” for Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days.

Paint is not accepted as a part of this program. Household paint and aerosol paint should be dropped off at any SARCAN recycling depot.

Material collected through this program will be reused or recycled whenever possible. This program is open to Saskatoon residents only. No business or commercial products will be accepted.
