Officials from the City of Saskatoon, Saskatoon Zoo Foundation, and the Lions Clubs of Saskatoon took part in the grand opening of the new Lions Event Pavilion at the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo today.
The Lions Event Pavilion, located beside the PotashCorp Ark exhibit in the Zoo, is a 9,600 square foot sheltered rental facility with the ability to host large corporate or family functions of up to 500 people (banquet) and 800 people (reception). The pavilion will also serve as the permanent home of the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation’s annual Zoogala fundraising event.
Close to 20 Saskatoon organizations, businesses, and individuals came together to make this building a reality. Major funding partners include the Saskatoon Zoo Foundation, Lions Clubs of Saskatoon, Supreme Steel, and PotashCorp.
