The City of Saskatoon invites residents to attend Recycling Option Open Houses on September 8, 9 and 16. The open houses will all feature the opportunity for residents to learn more about the recycling options being considered for our community, hear a presentation from the City, ask questions, and provide feedback.
Wednesday, September 8
Cosmo Civic Centre (3130 Laurier Drive)
2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – presentations at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 9
McClure United Church (4025 Taylor Street East)
2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – presentations at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 16

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – presentation at 7:00 p.m.
Representatives from the City’s Environmental Services Branch and their consultants will be available to discuss any questions or concerns from residents. The four potential options for recycling service in Saskatoon are:
Option 1 - No changes to the current system
Option 2 - Subsidy available to those residents who choose to use a private recycling company (while maintaining the current depot system)
Option 3 - Expand the current municipal depot system
Option 4 - Collect recyclables at the curb (available to all residents), while maintaining the current depot system
The open houses are part of a series of public engagement activities planned to engage residents on this issue. Additional information on the recycling options is available at www.saskatoon.ca under “R” for Recycling.
