Starting this evening at approximately 6:15 p.m., crews will begin dismantling the construction crane located on the southwest corner of 19th Street and 2nd Avenue.
The contractor will now be dismantling the crane from 2nd Avenue, south of 19th Street, which is a low traffic area. The closure of 19th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues will not be required.
The crane should be dismantled by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 15.
The crane was being used for the River Centre project, which is a five-story office tower with street level retail space.
Motorists are reminded to allow extra time when travelling through construction areas, watch for pedestrians and work crews, and for everyone’s safety, obey all detours, signs and barriers.
