Trees provide essential services such as improvements to air and water quality, cooling and shade, stormwater management, and climate adaptation and mitigation benefits.
Saskatoon has an overall tree canopy cover of 9%. Our target is to reach 15-20% canopy cover by 2060. This target includes all trees on both public and private property.
