Winter Storm Impact

Due to inclement weather conditions and in accordance with the Ministerial Order issued on Monday, November 9, 2020, the general election scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2020 is postponed until Friday, November 13, 2020.

Section 26 of The Local Government Election Act, 2015 requires that if any polling place becomes unavailable, the returning officer shall name another place as an alternate polling place and by notice posted at the first-named polling place, direct the voters to the alternate polling place.

The returning officer closed all polls on, Monday, November 9, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.

All voters, who have not cast their ballot already, are directed to vote at any of the following polling locations on Friday, November 13, 2020 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.: 

  • Cosmo Civic Centre
  • Lawson Civic Centre
  • Lakewood Civic Centre
  • Shaw Centre
  • City Hall - Committee Room E
  • Prairieland Park
  • Ebenezer Baptist Church

Voter Assistance Terminal (VAT) is available at City Hall and support persons and service animals are welcome at all locations. Election workers will assist voters with mobility issues when requested.

2020 Saskatoon Civic Election

Election Day, Monday, November 13, 2020.
NOTE: Effective November 6, non-medical masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces by Public Health Order.

Vote your way, you have several options. Eligible voters are encouraged vote early.

Advance Polls. Take advantage of early voting days and off-peak times. Voters may attend any location during the early voting period.

Hospital Voting (Completed)
Voting in hospitals and Parkridge Centre will take place on November 9 between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Voting for in-patients only.

Special (Care Home) Voting
Voting in special care facilities will take place November 2, 3, and 4 between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Check your care facility for details.
Voting for residents only.

Homebound Voting
Due to COVID-19 it has been determined that homebound voting is not practicable due to the risk of transmitting the virus. The civic election team is following the lead of Elections Saskatchewan and, as such, homebound voting will be administered through mail-in ballot.

Mail-in Ballot Voting  (Completed)

Effective July 2, 2020, any eligible voter wishing to vote by mail can register to vote and apply for a mail-in ballot. Eligible voters will receive a ballot package in the mail after nomination day which is to be completed and mailed back. Online applications ended at 11:59:59 pm Friday October 30.
