Every two years, the City of Saskatoon (City) conducts two civic surveys to check in with residents of Saskatoon. Your input will be used for future planning and service adjustments.
Civic Services: Satisfaction & Performance Survey #1
April 19 - May 23, 2021
What City services and programs do you value the most? Take the survey and share your thoughts on:
- satisfaction with City services and programs
- preferences on delivery of City services
- perception of quality of life in Saskatoon
- perceived value of civic services
- City spending for the delivery of City services
- improvement priorities for delivery of City services
- most important issue facing the City
- the impact of COVID-19 on quality of life in Saskatoon and perceptions of City services
Civic Services Survey #2: Performance, Priorities & Preferences
June 23 - July 28, 2021
Topics in this survey will include:
- performance on 29 services that the City provides to residents
- identify services considered high priority
- identify preferences on level of civic services in 12 categories
Both surveys are being conducted using collection methods that will ensure data is reliable, valid and representative of our community. Saskatoon residents (18 or older), you may be contacted by a research firm interviewer for a telephone survey.
Results from the 2021 surveys will be compared to past surveys to determine trends.
COVID-19
These civic surveys were last conducted in 2018 and are meant to be conducted every two years. As such, the surveys were originally scheduled to be conducted in summer 2020. However, the City paused all public engagement in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Online forms of public engagement were restarted in the fall of last year and the surveys were delayed until spring 2021.
Residents and businesses in Saskatoon have experienced unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19. The City has also had to adapt many of its services to comply with provincial public health orders. This year's survey has added questions regarding the impact of COVID-19 to better understand how the pandemic has affected people's perceptions of quality of life and of City services.
