It’s a new time and a new way forward! The City of Saskatoon is moving to a new multi-year business plan and budget. Rather than one year at a time, you can expect to see a two year plan and budget created for 2020-2021.
Your input has always been an important part of our budget process. We’ve heard from many residents expressing their desire to participate. We are committed to continuously improving on the opportunities we provide. The new multi-year plan and budget is the right time to create even more ways to gather your input and better understand your perceptions, views and priorities for the City of Saskatoon. There will be many opportunities over the summer and fall 2018.
To get started, the new “Civic Satisfaction & Performance Survey” will kick off our first significant public engagement activity. This survey is the first of two, along with other activities, to gather public input that will be used in preparing our 2020-2021 Multi-Year Budget.
Our goal is to include as many residents as possible by providing multiple opportunities to participate. New this year, is the opportunity for everyone to complete our survey which takes approximately 10 minutes.
Your input will be collected, along with the traditional 500 random telephone and 800 online panel surveys.
The Civic Satisfaction & Performance Survey will close July 29, 2018.
Watch for updates on what we heard after the survey closes, and for ongoing ways to participate and give your feedback in the coming months.
All public input collected in summer and fall 2018 will be compiled and presented to City Council in January 2019. This information will be used throughout the year as the 2020-2021 plans and budgets are developed.
