What we're asking...
This survey has two components, the Bus Rapid Transit Preferred Configuration and the Transit System Plan Reconfiguration. In the first part, we want to share five preferred configuration features with you, and ask you to help us better understand the benefits and impacts of each option on the community. In the second part, we'd like to hear your preferences for how we can best re-configure our existing transit services moving forward.
Our promise to you...
The information you provide will be reviewed and considered by the City and HDR, as we continue to develop a functional plan for the BRT / Transit System.
STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOPS - Dec 5 / 6, 2017
As part of the conversation around the Preferred Configuration Report, the City of Saskatoon and HDR will be inviting specific stakeholders to join us for a series of workshops to provide input that will be reviewed and considered as we continue to develop a functional plan for the Transit Plan.
Overview of Engagement Opportunities
The Transit Plan project anticipates a number of public and stakeholder engagement opportunities starting in Winter 2017 - 2018:
- Public / Stakeholder Engagement Event(s) - December 2017 - February 2018
- Major Public Engagement Options Event - March 7, 2018
A number of the City's major Plan for Growth initiatives will be brought together at these options events to give the community an opportunity to see the future direction of the City, and provide insight on the implementation land-use and transit options we need to consider as we prepare to welcome 250,000 people in the next few decades.
