How to Locate Underground Utilities

It is important to ensure all underground utilities have been located prior to initiating construction of any kind. 

Currently, Saskatoon Light and Power is the only City utility subscribed to Sask 1st Call.  All other City utility operators must be contacted separately. Contact information from City Facilities,  Park Irrigation, Traffic Signal Shop and Water and Sewer are listed below:
 

City Facilities
  • Contact: AFRecreationalFacilities@Saskatoon.ca or 306-986-3098
  • Facilities utilities may include but are not limited to: pathway light electrical conductor in parks, electrical conductors supplying power to paddling pools and bathrooms in parks, water lines supplying public drinking fountains, etc. 
  • Minimum notice required for locates: 2 business days
  • Information required in locate request:
    • Contractor contact information (site contact, email address, phone number)
    • Location of service request (street number, street name, street type if applicable).  Please provide maps when possible
    • Type of construction (concrete work, paving work, water and sewer work, etc)
    • Site map clearly showing work area
Park Irrigation
Traffic Signal Shop

  • Minimum notice required for locates: 2 business days
  • Information required in locate request:
    • Contractor contact information (site contact, email address, phone number)
    • Location of service request (street number, street name, street type)
    • Type of construction (concrete work, paving work, water and sewer work, etc.)
    • Site map clearly showing work area
Water and Sewer

  • Minimum notice required for locates: 2 business days
  • Information required in locate request:
    • Contractor contact information (site contact, email address, phone number)
    • Location of service request (street number, street name, street type)
    • Type of construction (concrete work, paving work, water and sewer work, etc.)
