2020 Civic Election: We’re recruiting leaders, join our team!
The 2020 Civic Election is planned for November 9, 2020. Eligible voters in Saskatoon will cast their ballot for Mayor, City Councillors and School Board Trustees.
Voting safely is our priority. The City’s Election Office will ensure public safety measures are in place for voters and election workers. The Civic Election Team will respond accordingly to all public health orders and COVID-19 directives issued by the Province.
Join the Civic Election Team as we plan for a successful, safe, accessible and well-attended 2020 Civic Election on Monday, November 9, 2020.
The 2020 Saskatoon Civic Election Returning Officer is now accepting applications from interested members of the public for Ward Supervisors and Poll Supervisors who will lead our team of election workers. (Approximately mid-September – November 2020)
- Ward Supervisors provide leadership, support, and oversight to Poll Supervisors in their assigned ward. Remuneration $1500 flat, includes training.
- Poll Supervisors provide oversight for their assigned poll and team of election workers. Remuneration $24/hour + $100 for training.
A variety of other paid positions for assisting at the Advance Polls and on Election Day will be posted in the fall.
Do you speak an additional language beyond English? If you do, we encourage you to apply to join our Election Team. We want to ensure that language is not a barrier for any resident to participate in the voting process and hope to recruit people that are proficient in languages represented in our diverse community.
