Adjusted holiday hours & civic services for Family Day, February 17

The City of Saskatoon has a number of adjusted civic services, and altered hours on Family Day, February 17, 2020.

Following are details on what’s open or closed on Family Day, updates on waste collection schedules, parking requirements, bonus fitness classes offered and more!

City Hall: All Administrative Offices are closed. City Hall will reopen Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 8:00 a.m.

Pay Parking Stations: No payment is required on Family Day, February 17. As always, motorists are required to park their vehicles within the posted time limits for the area. This helps to keep parking spots rotating for all.

Municipal Impound Lot: Vehicles will not be released to the public February 17 

Saskatoon Public Library: All locations will be closed 

Saskatoon Landfill: Open with regular winter hours: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Waste Collections:

  • Your Garbage (Black Cart) will take place as scheduled
  • Your Recycling (Blue Cart) collections will take place as scheduled

The Saskatoon Civic Conservatory: CLOSED for renovations

TRANSIT SERVICES

Saskatoon Transit:

Saskatoon Transit will operate with Holiday Service on Monday, February 17.
Please check the routes and schedules on the website or the real-time mobile app, Transit for details.

Access Transit:

Will operate with Holiday Service on Monday, February 17. Holiday Service hours are 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Reminder: Access Transit subscriptions do not apply on Statutory Holidays

Transit Customer Service Center:

Will be closed for walk-in customers on Monday, February 17
Customer Service phone lines: available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

RECREATION & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Indoor Skating Rinks: ACT Arena, Archibald Arena, Lions Arena, Cosmo Arena, Gordie Howe Kinsmen Arena: Open regular hours with additional skate times added. View complete schedule listings at saskatoon.ca/dropinonline.

Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo Winter Hours:
Zoo: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Park: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cosmo Civic Centre: Cosmo Arena is open 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a free Family Day Skate, along with additional activities in the Cosmo Civic Centre gymnasium. All other amenities at Cosmo Civic Centre will be closed for the Family Day holiday.       

Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre: Open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All fitness classes are cancelled.

Lakewood Civic Centre: Open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All fitness classes are cancelled.

Lawson Civic Centre: Open 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All regularly scheduled fitness classes are cancelled.
Bonus Classes! Aqua Motion I class will be offered at 10:15 a.m., and a Fitness Yoga class at 10:30 a.m

Saskatoon Field House: Open 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. All regularly scheduled fitness classes & Child Minding are cancelled. 
Bonus Class!  Group Cycle & Sculpt will be offered at 10:30 a.m.​ 

Shaw Centre Open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. All fitness classes & Child Minding are cancelled.

Terry Fox Track (in the SaskTel Sports Centre) CLOSED
