Bike lanes to be removed from 4th Avenue North starting Thursday, June 13

For immediate release: June 12, 2019 - 6:00am

The City will begin removing the existing bike lanes on 4th Avenue North starting Thursday, June 13 at 7:00 a.m. The removal will take place over three phases over five days, and will require the full closure of each of the following sections of 4th Avenue North:

  • Phase 1, June 13-14: 21st Street East to 23rd Street East
  • Phase 2, June 15-16: 22nd Street East to 25th Street East
  • Phase 3, June 16-17: 19th Street East to 21st Street East

There will also be a second closure along 4th Avenue North between 22nd Street East and 23rd Street East for a utility cut patch on Thursday, June 13 starting at 7:00 a.m. This work is expected to take one day to complete.

All work timelines are weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Saskatoon Transit will continue to operate as scheduled. Transit service alerts, real-time bus locations, and arrivals are available on third party apps like Transit and Google Transit on desktop.
