Circle Drive southbound ramp to 8th Street reduced to one lane for 7 weeks
Two primary water main inspections will be taking place under the Circle Drive southbound ramp to 8th Street starting Monday, July 30. The project is expected to last approximately 7 weeks.
During the work, access from Circle Drive southbound to 8th Street will be maintained, but a section of the ramp will be reduced to one lane, so traffic exiting from Circle Drive southbound onto 8th Street may extend onto Circle Drive during peak traffic times. Drivers will still have the ability to turn left or right onto 8th Street.
Signs will be in place well in advance advising drivers of the upcoming ramp restrictions with a reminder to reduce speeds to 60 km/hr.
Drivers are reminded fines for speeding in a work zone have increased to $440 for driving 20 km/hr over the speed limit and $1,008 when speeds reach 40 km/hr over the speed limit.
