For immediate release: November 29, 2019 - 7:08am
TC19-822

City crews are clearing snow and treating ice on high-traffic roads this morning following approximately 6 centimeters of snowfall over the past several hours.

Streets, bridge decks, freeway ramps, overpasses and high-traffic intersections may be icy and snow packed. Drivers should slow down, use caution and allow for extra time to reach their destination.

6 high speed plows, 24 graders and 10 sanders are clearing snow and applying sand and salt on high traffic roads. Please leave extra room and watch for blue and amber flashing lights on road equipment. Sidewalk plows are also clearing sidewalks adjacent to City properties.

When safe to do so, drivers can report icy locations to the Customer Care Centre at 306-975-2476 or e-mail customercare@saskatoon.ca.
