Civic services and holiday hours on Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11

In observance of Remembrance Day, Monday, November 11, 2019, the City of Saskatoon will have a number of adjusted civic services, and altered holiday hours, details below.

City Hall:  All Administrative Offices are closed. City Hall reopens Tuesday, November 12 at 8:00 a.m.

Pay Parking Stations: No payment is required on Monday, November 11
Reminder: Motorists are still required to park their vehicles within the posted time limits for the area

Municipal Impound Lot: Vehicles will not be released to the public

Saskatoon Public Library: All locations will be closed

Saskatoon Landfill:  Open 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compost Depots:  

  • The East Compost Depot is OPEN Saturday, November 9 - 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • The West Compost Depot is OPEN Saturday, November 9 - 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, November 9 is the last day for the compost depot season; they will re-open April 2020. Check details at saskatoon.ca/compostdepots

 Waste Collections: per your normal schedule

  • Your Garbage (Black Cart) collection will take place as scheduled
  • Your Recycling (Blue Cart) collection will take place as scheduled
  • Your Organics (Green Cart) collection is now over for the season; Registration for the 2020 Season begins January 2, 2020. Find full details at saskatoon.ca/greencart

The Saskatoon Civic Conservatory: Remains closed for renovations

TRANSIT SERVICES

 Saskatoon Transit

  • Operating with Holiday Service on Monday, November 11
  • Thanks to RBC Royal Bank, Saskatoon Transit will provide complimentary bus service to the Remembrance Day Ceremony on Monday, November 11 at SaskTel Centre. (information below)

Bus service to the ceremony will depart from Market Mall and Centre Mall Transit terminals at 9:45 a.m. and will depart from the Special Events Stop Downtown (23rd St & 2nd Ave) at: 

9:00 a.m.
9:15 a.m.
9:30 a.m.
9:45 a.m.
10:00 a.m.
10:15 a.m.

Return trips will begin immediately following the close of ceremonies.

Active military and Veterans wearing a medal on Monday, November 11th, may ride Saskatoon Transit routes for free the entire day.

Access Transit:

  • Operating with Holiday Service on Monday, November 11 (8:15 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.)
    • Reminder: Access Transit subscriptions do not apply on Statutory Holidays

Transit Customer Service Center:

  • Closed for walk-in customers on Monday, November 11 but phone lines will be available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

RECREATION & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Indoor Skating Rinks: ACT Arena, Archibald Arena, Lions Arena, Cosmo Arena, Gordie Howe Kinsmen Arena: Open regular hours

Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & Zoo: Open as follows:
Zoo: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Park: 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Leisure Centres:

Cosmo Civic Centre CLOSED

Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre Open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
All fitness classes CANCELLED

Lakewood Civic Centre Open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
All childminding and regularly scheduled fitness classes CANCELLED

Lawson Civic Centre Open 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Saskatoon Field House: Open 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
