COVID-19: Daily Update on Changes to Programs and Services, June 5, 2020
The City is doing its part to flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases in Saskatoon. We have made many staffing and service changes so our employees can safely deliver services to residents and to make sure people remain physically apart from one another. This way we can all work together by staying apart – it will protect the health of essential frontline healthcare staff, core service workers and first-responders. These actions in turn protect all of us.
Saskatoon Transit Customer Service Centre Open
Installation of plexi-glass at the Transit Customer Service Centre has been complete and it is now open. All Transit pass vendor locations are available to sell the products they sold prior to fare suspension. Transit riders who had a valid March 2020 pass can get a June pass at no charge; this can only be done at the Transit Customer Service Centre.
Plumbing Troubleshooting for Businesses Reopening in Phase 3
Businesses re-opening after weeks of no activity may notice water quality changes due to stagnant water in their plumbing pipes. As the Province’s Re-Open Saskatchewan plan allows for more businesses to resume, we encourage businesses that serve customers to follow inspection and flushing recommendations at saskatoon.ca/plumbing. This will apply for all businesses as they re-open if they haven’t used their water for a while, for the safety of staff and customers.
Please visit saskatoon.ca/covid19 for timely updates from the City of Saskatoon on everything you need to know to stay safe.
