COVID-19: Park & cemetery physical distancing reminders
The City is doing its part to flatten the curve of COVID-19 cases in Saskatoon. We have made many staffing and service changes so that our employees can safely deliver services to residents and to make sure people remain physically apart from one another. This way we can all work together by staying apart – it will protect the health of essential frontline healthcare staff, core service workers and first-responders. These actions in turn protect all of us.
City Cemeteries remain under Public Health Order guidelines
City Cemeteries are currently open to the public during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.) If you are visiting cemetery grounds, we ask that you maintain physical distancing guidelines: stay two metres away from anyone who is not a member of your own household or your extended household group to keep yourself and others safe as shown here.
Please note that the Woodlawn Cemetery’s Business Office is closed to the public at this time. For inquiries or arrangements, please call 306-975-3308 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Mother's Day reminders: Practice physical distancing, extended household group
If you plan to go outside with your mom this weekend, remember that the provincial Public Health Order is still in effect. Follow physical distancing guidelines: stay two metres away from anyone who is not a member of your own household or your extended household group to keep yourself and others safe as shown here. Gatherings must not be with more than 10 people – inside or outside.
Sports fields should not be used for group or organized sports or activities, and play structures remain closed.
Watch for Physical Distancing Ambassadors moving throughout Saskatoon’s 200 parks! Ambassadors will be replacing closed signs and tape on playground structures as well as promoting the importance of physical distancing and other necessary restrictions while using outdoor public places.
