Free Winter Activities for Youth and Families

The City of Saskatoon will host free winter activities for youth and families this February and March.  Get out and get active at these upcoming events:

Learn to Skate Program - From Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, March 11, enjoy free skating programs at the locations below.  Participants must bring their own skates and CSA-approved winter helmets.  Children six years of age or under must be accompanied by an adult or responsible caregiver 16 years or older.

  • Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. - North Park, 1416 7th Avenue North
  • Saturdays, 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Holliston, 1151 Louise Avenue
  • Sundays, 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. - Avalon, 2602 Broadway Avenue
  • Sundays, 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. - Greystone Heights, 2711 Main Street
  • Sundays, 1:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. - Massey, 3110 Massey Place

Winter Play Program – Ages two to 12 years. Drop in from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, March 11 for winter games and activities.  Children six years of age or under must be accompanied by an adult or responsible caregiver 16 years or older.

Please note, activities will be cancelled if the temperature reaches -25°C, or below with the wind chill, or due to adverse ice conditions.

February Break Camps - Free activities will be held at Cosmo Civic Centre (3130 Laurier Drive) for youth ages 10 to 14 years.

  • February 20 – Saskatoon Community Youth Arts Program (SCYAP) Art Program

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • February 21 - Basketball Camp

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  • February 22 – Soccer Camp

9:00 a.m. to12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
