Join in on the City-wide Curbside Swap Sept 8

For immediate release: September 6, 2018 - 10:06am
CP-18-145
Do you have unwanted, usable household items? Do you want free stuff? Swap it! The City of Saskatoon encourages individuals to participate in the city-wide curbside swap Sept 8, 2018 or organize their own within their neighborhood at any time between spring and fall.

The Saskatoon Curbside Swap is where residents place unwanted items in good condition, clearly marked FREE, on their curbs for anyone to pick up. At the end of the day, residents return unclaimed items to their home along with their newfound treasures.

Giving used items a new home keeps them out of our landfill and swapping helps to build a sense of community. It’s a fun and environmentally friendly way to find free stuff and get rid of unwanted (but usable) items.
Some items you might find at a Curbside Swap include:
• Appliances
• Bicycles
• Tools
• Furniture
• Books/movies/CDs/DVDs
• Building material
• Computers and electronics
• Yard and garden equipment
• Clothes
• Sporting goods

Residents can list their swap, search others’ swaps or simply gather more information about curbside swap including guidelines and promotional materials by visiting Saskatoon.ca/curbsideswap or call 306-975-2487.
