Outdoor Pools Open for the Summer Beginning Sunday, June 10, 2018
Make a splash this summer in the City of Saskatoon’s outdoor pools! Riversdale Pool opens for the season on Sunday, June 10; Lathey Pool will open on Wednesday, June 13; Mayfair Pool will open on Monday, June 18; and George Ward Pool will open Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
A general admission to any of the outdoor pools provides access to a number of swimming and sports activities, including lane swimming, parent and tot swims, and aquafitness classes. You can check out Drop-In Online (saskatoon.ca/dropinonline) to find out the latest drop-in offerings, including public swim times and specific classes. In addition, swimming lessons are offered for all ages and abilities at each outdoor pool. Please refer to the City of Saskatoon’s Summer Leisure Mini Guide located at saskatoon.ca/leisureguide for more details on class availability.
Available again for the summer are the popular outdoor pool bulk tickets. Purchasing a pack of 10 outdoor pool passes provides a 20 per cent discount off regular general admission rates. Children under six years of age are admitted free to outdoor pools when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please be aware that outdoor pools will be cleared immediately if lightning occurs and will also close if the temperature is 14 degrees or lower, or during steady rain conditions. For current pool status you can check Drop-in Online (saskatoon.ca/dropinonline). You can also sign up for Service Alerts for immediate updates.
