Residents Eligible for Assistance under Provincial Disaster Assistance Program
The Province of Saskatchewan has approved the City of Saskatoon’s application to be designated as an Eligible Assistance Area under the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) related to the rain event which occurred on August 8, 2017. Residents that have experienced any water seepage or flooding as a result of this event may now apply to the Province to receive assistance under the PDAP program.
Process for homeowners:
- Visit Saskatoon.ca to download a PDAP application form and instructions. Alternatively, applications can be picked up from the City Solicitor’s office.
- Complete and sign the application form and provide supporting material as referenced in the information package provided. As part of the PDAP application, a letter is required from the homeowner’s insurance company providing detailed coverage prior to the application being considered.
- Return the completed application form (and supporting material) to the PDAP office in Regina, or in the alternative, the City Solicitor’s Office. For any application received by the City Solicitor’s Office, it will be forwarded on behalf of the homeowner to the Province.
- Homeowners will be contacted by an adjuster assigned to each claim by the Province received through PDAP.
Applications must be submitted to the Province by February 8, 2018 in order to be eligible under the Program.
Contact Information for Homeowners:
PDAP is available Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to help Saskatchewan residents through their disaster recovery.
