Sewer line installation closes Avenue C for 2 weeks

For immediate release: July 25, 2018 - 5:00am
TU18-446

Starting today, Avenue C north of 36th Street will close for 2 weeks to allow for the installation of a sewer line. Westbound parking lanes on 36th Street adjacent to this work zone will also be closed while construction is underway.

During this road closure, crews will take the opportunity to install sidewalks at this location. By combining these two projects, it shortens the amount of time the roadway needs to be closed.

This work zone will include deep pit trenching. Due to the dangerous nature of this work, there will be no access to road users around this work zone. Signs will be in place advising drivers of the upcoming road restrictions and remind them to reduce speeds around work zones. Please respect work zones and workers for their safety and yours.

This construction work will impact Transit routes. Check for Service Alerts on your route on SaskatoonTransit.ca/service-alerts or on your mobile device using the app called Transit.
