Snow crews keep Saskatoon moving in third snow event

For immediate release: December 25, 2019 - 10:37am
TC19-938

Saskatoon residents woke up to a snow-covered city, with 8 cm of snow falling early this morning. Snow crews are out in full force, with 6 speed plows clearing Circle Drive, 8 graders on high-traffic roads, 10 sanders on all priority streets and 4 sidewalk plows clearing sidewalks adjacent to City properties. Additional contract graders and sidewalk plows are getting started clearing in neighbourhoods outside of Circle Drive.

Streets, bridge decks, freeway ramps, overpasses and high-traffic intersections may be icy and snow packed. Drivers should slow down, use caution and allow for extra time to reach their destination.

Please keep back when you see blue and amber flashing lights to let road equipment complete their pass.

When safe to do so, you can report icy locations to the Customer Care Centre at 306-975-2476 or e-mail customercare@saskatoon.ca.
