Snow event called following more than eight centimeters of snow
Saturday night’s snowfall covered Saskatoon with approximately 8 centimeters of snow. City crews worked all night on Circle Drive and are currently working on clearing snow on priority 1 streets such as Circle Drive, 22nd Street, Idylwyld Drive, College Drive and 8th Street. Contractors will be assisting city crews.
Cold temperatures combined with this new moisture may cause icing on bridge decks, freeway ramps, overpasses and high-traffic intersections. Drivers should adjust their driving for the road conditions, use caution and allow for extra time to reach their destination.
20 graders, 4 high speed plows and 8 sanders are clearing snow and applying sand and salt on high traffic roads. Please leave extra room and watch for blue and yellow flashing lights on road equipment.
When safe to do so, drivers can report icy locations to the Customer Care Centre at 306-975-2476 or e-mail email@example.com.
