The National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism is on Friday, June 23, 2017.  In recognition, flags at all City of Saskatoon facilities will fly at half-mast for the day.

Recognized every year in Canada on June 23, the National Day of Remembrance for Victims of Terrorism marks the anniversary of the Air India Flight 182 bombing which happened off the coast of Ireland.  Flags across Canada are flown at half-mast to honour the victims of the bombing, as well as other acts of terrorist violence that have taken lives of Canadians.

Everyone is invited to Kinsmen Day at the Zoo on Friday, June 23, 2017.  Free admission to the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo (Zoo) will be provided from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Please note that parking, stroller, wagon, and fishing fees will still apply.

In lieu of admission, visitors are encouraged to donate a non-perishable food item to benefit the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre.  Representatives from the Saskatoon Food Bank & Learning Centre will be on site from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to answer questions.

Holiday Park Golf Course is pleased to announce the completion of the course redevelopment project, which began in August 2016 as part of a Master Plan designed to enhance the quality and challenge of the course.

During construction, the Executive 9-hole course was temporarily closed, and patrons accessed a modified front 9.

The Saskatoon North Partnership for Growth (P4G) is pleased to announce the draft P4G Regional Plan (Plan) is complete.

The draft Plan recommends a series of guiding principles and policies around land use, transportation, servicing, and implementation, as well as proposes new governance and administrative structures for the region.

The P4G invites residents in the Rural Municipality of Corman Park; the Cities of Saskatoon, Warman, and Martensville; and the Town of Osler to an information session for the draft Plan.

The City is pleased to announce the launch of the “I am the Bridge” anti-racism campaign. 

“Building a city where all people can succeed starts with building relationships and a shared understanding,” says Mayor Charlie Clark.  “The ‘I am the Bridge’ campaign helps to do this by telling stories and sharing the insights of Saskatoon residents on their lived realities with racism.  These conversations are crucial to collectively build an inclusive community.”
