Bev Dubois is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan. She has an extensive business background including Manager of Investor Relations for SREDA, CEO of the Meewasin Foundation, Business & Marketing Manager for Ernst & Young, and Vice President of Sales & Operations for Canadian Digital Network Ltd.
Bev has served on many boards, committees, commissions and fundraisers. These include President, Saskatoon Rotary Club, Past Chair, Salvation Army Citizens’ Advisory Committee, past Presidents of Saskatoon Women’s Network; Big Sisters; Saskatchewan Library Trustee Association (SLTA); Citizen’s Advisory Regional Psychiatric and Saskatoon Area Parole; and Directors for Saskatoon YWCA, Saskatoon Crime Stoppers, Tourism Saskatoon, Waneskewin Heritage Park, Children’s Wish Foundation, STARS Air Ambulance, Persephone Theatre, and Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan.
Bev’s community involvement has resulted in her being awarded the Governor General’s Canada 125 Medal for Community Service; the Lieutenant Governor’s Saskatchewan Centennial Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Bev is an experienced corporate Board member having served on local, provincial and national Boards and Commissions including the University of Saskatchewan Senate, Saskatoon Airport Authority, Saskatchewan Opportunities Corporation, Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA), Trans-Canada Yellowhead Highway Association, Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA).
As a City Councillor, Bev has been Chair of the Audit Committee, Planning & Operations Committee, Pension Benefits Committee, Administration and Finance, and served as a Saskatoon Police Board Commissioner, a Director of SaskTel Centre, and a Director of Prairieland Park. She currently sits on the TCU Place Board, Meewasin Valley Authority, Tourism Saskatoon, Standing Policy committees on Planning, Development and Community Services, and Finance, Governance & Priorities, District Planning Commission as well as the Council Personnel committee
Bev represented Ward 10 for three successive terms on Council, from 2003-2012 and was elected in Ward 9 in 2016. Ward 9 communities include Lakeview, Lakeridge, Wildwood, Rosewood, Lakewood Suburban Centre and Nutana Suburban Centre.
