Open House: Gordie Howe Sports Complex Master Plan

The City and the Friends of the Bowl Foundation invite residents to an open house to learn about the Master Plan for the Gordie Howe Sports Complex (Avenue P South). The project is being led by the Friends of the Bowl, and following formal approval from City Council, construction is expected to begin in 2018.
This is an opportunity to view the Master Plan, ask questions of and provide feedback to City Staff and Friends of the Bowl Foundation representatives. The open house meeting format allows you to “come and go” between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
What is being planned for the park?
Exciting improvements will transform the park into a world-class sports destination, including:
- New multi-sport turf field
- New multi-sport training centre
- New track and field area built to Class II IAAF certification standards
- Improved 400 meter speed skating oval with new multi-sport building
- Much more!
