COVID-19 Response: Outdoor Pools 

Outdoor pools are now closed for the season. We hope you enjoyed your time swimming and splashing this summer and look forward to welcoming you back in 2021! 

Locations & Hours of Operation

Swimming will be limited to 2-hour sessions, including admission and exit times. Your 2-hour swim session can be booked up to 2 days in advance by visiting Leisure Online or calling 306-975-2855 (phone lines are open 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily). If you do not arrive within 30 minutes from the start of your booked session time, your spot will be given to someone waiting in line. You may only book one session per day but you may join the walk-in line-up as often as you wish.

COVID-19 Quick Answer Guide

Is the waterslide open at Riversdale pool? Yes it is!
Can I bring my own swim toys and personal floatation devices? Yes, for your extended household group only. Please note the City will not provide toys.
Are lockers available for use? Yes.
Are water fountains available? No, please bring your own water to drink.
Can I rent a BBQ? No, not at this time.
Are towels available? Yes, and they are washed and dried on the highest heat setting as per the Government of Saskatchewan guidelines.
Is a public phone available? Yes.
Are basketball nets/courts available? Yes at Riversdale Pool but you must bring your own ball.
Are concessions open? Yes!
Are there admission discounts or specials? Not at this time.
Do I need to wear a mask? No it is not a requirement; also please note that masks cannot be used in the water.

The Fine Print (*, **, ***)

*Outdoor Pool Bulk Tickets can be purchased at City Hall (2nd Floor Recreation and Community Development Reception) or any of the four outdoor pools.

**Children under the age of 6 must be supervised by an adult or responsible youth at all times. To help preschool age children stay safe in and around the water, the City requires that all participants comply with the following policy: "For every two preschoolers under the age of 6, there must be one adult or responsible youth (16 years or older) within arm's length, supervising the preschoolers' water play and activity."  The best life preserver for your child is YOU!  Infants and toddlers participating in water play must wear an appropriate swim diaper.

***Family is defined as a group up to seven individuals with a maximum of two adults.

Give the gift of fun year-round with a Leisure Gift Card! Good for use at any Leisure Centreoutdoor poolindoor rink,  municipal golf course, plus the Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park & ZooGordon Howe Campground and Nutrien Playland at Kinsmen Park. Available for purchase at the participating facilities that are currently open.

Inclement Weather Closures

Outdoor pools will clear immediately if thunder or lightning occurs.  Outdoor pools will close if the temperature is 14 degrees or less and/or during steady rain conditions. Check Leisure Facilities Service Alerts for updates.
