Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre Upgrade & Facility Closure
Last Updated April 10, 2024
Project Status:
Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre is closed in preparation for a major facility upgrade. The initial tender closed on April 6, 2023. Tenders came in higher than anticipated and as a result, the initial tender has been cancelled. The project team has since reviewed the project scope to find ways to make it more efficient and has updated the design and construction tender documents accordingly.
Current Progress:
The updated construction tender documents have been finalized, and the request for proposals for the Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre Renovation was posted on April 08, 2024. We aim to finalize the renovation agreement by the end of June 2024. More details about the renovation timeline will be provided once the renovation contract is awarded and signed.
Communication and Updates:
For further updates and information concerning the project, kindly refer to the City’s website following the retendering process.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation as we endeavor to enhance the Harry Bailey Aquatic Centre for the community.
